Hey, guys! I'm sorry for not posting since the beggining of August, but I'm back :) and today, I will show you the books that I read this summer.
In less than one year, I will have the first exams in my life, so this year we're all going to do our best in Romanian and Math. That's why, this summer, I had to read more than I used to.
First, we had a few little... stories (less than 80 pages), all written by romanian authors, like Mihail Sadoveanu and I.L. Caragiale.
I had to read a book of poetry, thing that I didn't like at all, because I'm not a romantic and sensitive person, and I read some boring poems :(
I also read "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher. I love this book! It was amazing, and it may be one of my favorites books, even if it has a very, very sad ending. I definitely recommend you reading it :)
This summer, I read my first love book, because, as I said, I am not romantic, and it was nice... it is about a young boy... he's in high-school, that is in love with a married woman, and, yeah, many things happen... It it written by Ion Minulescu.
Another book that I read was "My life with Saddam Hussein", by Parisoula Lampsos, which is an autobiography. I really liked this book, and I read the 500 pages in less than... 4 days!
I read two books from a local magazine, that were nice, and easy to read :) The series is called "The Ashleys", and it is written by Melissa de la Cruz. They were very nice, and I enjoyed reading those books.
And the last book I read is called.... FRANKENSTEIN!! It is an awesome, awesome, awesome book!! It is probably the best book I read this year. You must read it!! You won't regret, I promise. I recently saw the movie, and it was dissapointing :( It doesn't even matches the book... You shouldn't watch it, because the book is 100 times better.
So, those are the books that I read until now, but I have one more book to read, and 10 days until the first day of school, and I think I 'll be able to finish my homework :)
I hope you enjoyed this post, and stay tuned on U.C.Me!! Bye, XOXO!
Hey, guys! So, since it's VERY hot outside, me and my friends didn't hang out anymore, as we used to do, but that's a reason to post more often, so this is why I am writing this post, though yesterday I wrote another one :) The today's post is going to teach you how to make the best vanilla milkshake in the world!!
VANILLA MILKSHAKE First, you need a blender. Then, put in the blender 1 cup or one cup and a half of milk. Cold milk. After that, add a tablespoon of vanilla extract. Add a teaspoon of sugar, and a banana (without the shell, of course). Finally, add two spoons of vanilla ice cream, and turn the blender on. Enjoy it!
CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE Just like at the vanilla milkshake, you'll need a blender. First, pour 2 cups of milk in the blender. Put 2-4 TBS of hot chocolate powder in the blender and mix it well. Then, measure 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream and add this to the blender, and turn it on. Then, you can add some cream, as you can see in the picture below :) Bon apetit!
This was today's post, I hope you enjoyed, and if you tried those recipes, tell me in the comments how it was. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned on U.C.Me fo more yummy things.
Hi, everyone! I am sorry for not posting since July 10th, but I was a little busy. I stayed 3 weeks at the seaside, and one week - a camp, somewhere in the mountains, in Romania, and it was AWESOME, we had a lot of fun. So, for today's post I thought to show you some tips to beat the summer heat, because in Romania, usually, there are more than 40°C (104°F) during summer.
Tip #1 NO HEAT
For your everyday hair routine, try to not use heat. If you want curls, you can use hair rollers, or things like that. Maybe, it won't look the same, but at least, you'll stay cool :) If you wear your hair super straight, you should use an appropriate shampoo, that can keep your hair straight for even 48 hours. But, for everybody, I recommend wearing your hair up, using an ellastic or something!
Tip #2 BRIGHT COLOURS
We all know that dark colours attract the sun, so wearing black is not recommended. The best option is to wear white, and make sure you wear sunglasses and a hat, before you leave your house :)
Tip #3 MAKE UP
During this hot season, all of the make up products that you use should be waterproof, and they should be comfortable. You can use make up remover wipes as often as you want, to cool yourself :)
Tip #3 ALWAYS TAKE A WATER BOTTLE WITH YOU!
So, this was the post for today, I hope my tips will help you, and don't forget to subscribe! Bye, XOXO
Hello, everyone! This is the 30th post on U.C.Me! Yaaaay! So, since my friends weren't here for some days because they went at their relatives, and we couldn't hang out, I went at the mall and I watched a lot of movies. Everyday. So, a few days ago, I have seen Rock of Ages, and I thought to write about it, because it is an awesome movie!
It has some great actors and actresses, including Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta Jones, Paul Giamatti, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand and Malin Akerman. I have to say Rock of Ages is, in my opinion, one of the best movies that are in theatres right now. Though people say it is a comedy, I would say it is a musical, because there are many songs during the movie.
During the '80s, Sherrie (Julianne Hough) comes from Oklahoma to Los Angeles, where she meets Drew (Diego Boneta). Drew helps her to get a job at The Bourbon Room, which is a very popular nightclub on the Sunset Strip, where Sherrie works as a waitress. Meanwhile, Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise), a famous rockstar, resignes from his band called Arsenal. Their last concert as a band is going to be at The Bourbon Room. But, there is no band or player that will sing in Arsenal's opening. Suddenly, Sherrie proposes Drew, and the manager of The Bourbon Room (Alec Baldwin) agrees. Sherrie and Drew were already a couple, since the first days Sherrie worked at the nightclub. At the big night, everybody is at the club, and a reporter from The Rolling Stones magazine (Malin Akerman) takes Stacee Jaxx an interview. After Drew's performance, Stacee's manager (Paul Giamatti) asks Drew to work for him, and, in the end, Drew broke up with Sherrie, and they both quit from The Bourbon Room. Drew is now working with Stacee's manager at his career as a pop star in a band called Z-Guyeezz, and Sherrie is forced to become a stripper. During the whole film, there is a group of women headed by the mayor's wife (Catherine Zeta Jones), who want to close The Bourbon Room, because rock 'n' roll has a bad influence on the kids and teenagers from L.A., but actually everything is personal, because, many years ago, young Stacee Jaxx and the mayor's wife were in love, but he broke up with her, and this is revealed at the end of the movie. After the last show at The Bourbon Room, Stacee's manager left with all the money, even if this wasn't the deal, and Stacee finds out, and he fires his manager. Stacee Jaxx is going to have another big show at The Bourbon Room, and in his opening will perform The Z-Guyeezz, but it seems nobody enjoys their music at the nightclub. After Drew's performance, Sherrie and Drew are again a couple. After the concert, Stacee Jaxx gives all the money to the manager of The Bourbon Room, since the club didn't have money anymore.
In the end of the movie, there is another concert, where Drew, Sherrie and Stacee Jaxx share the same stage, in the same time, and we can also see that the reporter from The Rolling Stones and Stacee Jaxx are a couple, and they are going to have a baby. Happy ending :)
So, this was the movie, I love it, and you should listen to all of the songs that were performed during the film, if you like rock 'n' roll, of course. I hope you enjoyed it and keep watching U.C.Me! Don't forget to subscribe. Bye, XOXO.
Hi, guys! For today's post, I thought to show you some youtube channels and youtube gurus that inspired me, or they are very funny to watch.
The first Youtube guru is Bethany Mota a.k.a. Macbarbie07. She is a beauty guru, and her videos are very useful, and nice. I am her subscriber since 2011, when one of her videos was on the first page on Youtube (the old format). Bethany reached 653.610 subscribers and over 88.000.000 video views. She is also a vloger (bethanyslife channel).
Another Youtube Guru is Jenna Marbles, who is much more famous than Bethany Mota, but I prefer watching Bethany's videos. I found out about Jenna a few years ago, when her video was, also, on the first page on Youtube. The video is called How To Make Awesome Pet Names, and it has more than 7.000.000 views. Jenna is considered the number 1 female on Youtube.
Another popular couple of Youtube gurus is Kalel Cullen and Anthony Padilla. Anthony is one of the two creators of Smosh, which is a Youtube channel with almost 5.000.000 subscribers. Kalel had a Youtube channel called queenbeeuty, but in March 2012, she uploaded a video that said that she won't upload any videos anymore as queenbeuuty :( But, fortunately, she created a new channel called cozplai, where she uploads videos with her cosplays (Cosplay, short for "costume play", is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Favorite sources include manga and anime.) She is still a vloger, but not on the queenbeeuty channel, but on the cozplaisensei channel.
Another Youtube Channel that I enjoy watching is Awesomeness TV, which is a brand new network on Youtube, and it has a lot of shows, and my favourite is IMO, where some girls talk about many subjects that teen girls like, including fashion, beauty etc. The hosts are Bethany Mota, Gracie Dzienny, Daniella Monet, Audrey Whitby, Meaghan Dowling and a few other girls, but they change every week, only Gracie, Bethany and Meaghan were in all the episodes, but I am not sure.
The last Youtube channel, but not the least, is Ray William Johnson! He has almost 5.500.000 subscribers and more than 1.000.000.000 video views!! How awesome is that?!
So, this was the post for today! Thank you for reading it and stay tuned on U.C.Me. We hope you enjoyed this post, and it helped you. Bye, XOXO.
Hey, everyone! I just realised that our lasts post are all in the same. . . areas, like movies, fashion and beauty, so this is why today's post will be a little different, but not a brand new kind of post, because we did this kind of top 10 songs a month ago, but since I wasn't very . . . into music the last months, this week I will post only a top 8. Sorry. So, let's go ahead and get started!
#8 Flo Rida - Whistle
#7 Coldplay - Princess of China feat. Rihanna
#6 Pitbull - Back In Time
#5 Katy Perry - Wide Awake
#4 Kelly Clarkson - Dark Side
#3 Maroon 5 - One More Night
#2 Fun. - We Are Young feat. Janelle Monáe
#1 One Direction - I want
#1 I know this song is quite old, and probably many of you already knew about it (that's why I also added the video of the 2nd song in the list), and they don't like it as much as me, because I know there are a lot of people who don't like One Direction. I am their newest fan, so I just heard that song, a few weeks ago, and since that moment, it is my favourite. I passed through a big obsession with 1D, and now I discover the songs that are not that famous, like "I Want", which, obviousely, is not as famous as "What Makes You Beautiful", or "One Thing".
#2 "We Are Young" is one of the coolest modern songs I''ve ever heard, because it really is music. You MUST listen to it, and if you appreciate music, you will like this song.
#3 As I said it before, there were some months in my life, when I listened ONLY to Maroon 5, so now I know all of their songs. This period ended, but I am still a fan, so I knew about this song, which is awesome, and the video is even more awesome.
#4 Kelly Clarkson's songs always make me . . . I don't know, more mature, I guess. After "What doesn't kill you'', this is her 2nd hit.
#8 I knew about "Whistle" since I did the last top, but I didn't include it in the top, because I just discovered it, and I couldn't say it is one of my favourites, but since that post, I watched how that song is getting more and more famous, so I included it in the top, also.
So, this was the post for today. I hope you enjoyed it, and keep reading U.C.Me!! Bye, guys!
